What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?
A paper on the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic by Martin Karlsson, Therese Nilsson and Stefan Pichler, which was presented at the annual conference of the Royal Economic Society earlier this week, has attracted some media attention. So long and thanks for all the fish.
Martin Karlsson, Asim Farooq and Florian Klohn will soon be leaving the TU Darmstadt for new positions at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Maike Schmitt will be staying on but transfers completely to the Chair for Empirical Economics. We are still happy to take on students who wish to write their Bachelor or Master theses with us. Students who wish to take exams are advised to get in touch as soon as possible.
